Collaboration with Primary Care Provider (PCP)
Collaboration helps facilitate integrated services delivery and more comprehensive care. Due to the growing burden of chronic diseases and aging populations, we are facing an increasing number of patients with complex needs, requiring comprehensive, continuous and coordinated care with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Collaboration with Primary Care Provider (PCP)
When a patient have a PCP, coordination with that clinician to obtain the necessary bloodwork from the patient becomes a collaborative effort. We will work with the patient’s PCP to add blood tests that is required for a patient’s routine lab work, minimizing the need for the patient to undergomultiple blood draws.
In certain instances, if patients do not have a PCP, it may be necessary to order basic labs in addition to any bloodwork deemed necessary based on the patient’s psychiatric condition or medications in order to understand their overall health.

Lab Services
Routine blood work is an important part of assessing a patient’s overall health. When making a diagnosis or treatment decision, or monitoring certain psychiatric medications, certain lab tests may be necessary. Lab tests such as a complete blood count (CBC), metabolic panel, lipid panel, thyroid function tests, and hemoglobin A1c test (screening for diabetes) can assist with the general medical health of a patient.
Certain illnesses does not always warrant blood work; however, the blood work can help us make informed decisions about a potential differential diagnosis and aid us to understand other factors that may be the correct reason for the presentation.
